About Janey
Janey Hoag, M.S., CCC-SLP, COM® is a highly experienced speech-language pathologist, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of orofacial myofunctional disorders. As a Certified Orofacial Myologist® through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM), she is one of only a few hundred practitioners worldwide.
Watching her own children face learning challenges has given Janey a unique appreciation for the importance of a multidisciplinary therapy approach and the role of each professional team member throughout the treatment journey. With clients often referred by orthodontists, dentists, and ENTs, Janey strives to collaborate with the extended medical and dental teams to deliver personalized and highly effective treatment programs for clients with orofacial myofunctional disorders. She takes pride in having a keen sense as a diagnostician and considers patient advocacy her duty.
After working at several prestigious medical facilities in the southeast U.S., including the Medical College of Georgia, Emory University Hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and Northside Hospital, she opened her private practice in Dunwoody, Georgia in 2010.
She wants all her clients to move forward from the practice feeling confident in their abilities to breathe, swallow, and communicate for a lifetime.
