Janey Hoag, M.S., CCC-SLP, COM®
Speech Language Pathologist and Orofacial Myologist
As a practicing speech-language pathologist for 27 years, I have had the honor of working at some of the southeast’s most prestigious medical facilities including
The Medical College of Georgia, Emory University Hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Northside Hospital.
Get to Know Me
In every setting, I have worked with communication and swallowing disorders. Watching my own children develop, in the face of learning challenges, has given me a unique appreciation for the importance of a multidisciplinary therapy approach and the role of each professional team member throughout the treatment journey. I take pride in having a keen sense as a diagnostician and consider patient advocacy my duty.
My treatment methods have grown to include orofacial myology, focused on the oral and facial muscles that disrupt breathing, swallowing, dental development, orthodontic progress, speech and other facets of overall heath and wellness. With clients often referred from orthodontists, dentists and ENT’s, I work collaboratively with medical and dental professionals to treat Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMD’s), delivering customized programs and highly effective treatments to address individual symptoms. I am a Certified Orofacial Myologist® through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM), a certification held by only 454 practitioners worldwide.
